The conference official social event dinner will be hosted in the Ball room at Sofia Hotel Balkan.
The hotel is located on St Nedelya square next to the Serdica metro station, no transport will be arranged for the event, attendees are expected to use public transportation to get to the event.
The dinner will start with a standing cocktail with a selection of bites& canapés and a buffet with traditional Bulgarian salads. The main course and the desert will be served in the seated dinner area. The selection of main courses for the dinner is the following
- Roast loin of pork in a pepper sauce with with roasted vegetables
- Pan-fried trout garnished with steamed vegetables and potatoes with fennel and garlic
- Vegetable Mousaka with eggplants, zucchini and potatoes
We assume the meat option for everyone unless otherwise specified during registration, contact the organizers if you wish to alter your selection. Wine and mineral water are included, soft drinks available upon request.

Organized dinner Thursday – Lebed (Swan) restaurant

On Thursday evening we have planned a nice diner near Pancharevo lake just outside Sofia, at Lebed Restaurant, 82, Pancharevo, Bulgaria. 
Transport to the restaurant is arranged, buses will leave 7:00-7:30 PM from Sofia Hotel Balkan to the restaurant. Return around 11:00 PM. If for some reason you are late or fail to use the organized buses, you can take public buses N1 or N3 from IEC/Tsarigradsko shose metro station and get off at Pancharevo bus station. Getting a taxi is also a feasible option. There are two menu options –
- Menu 1 – Meat option
- Lebed salad /Iceberg lettuce, peeled tomatoes, sweet corn, avocado and Roquefort/
- Yellow cheese roll stuffed with cream cheese and vegetables
- Chicken leg with beacon and Mozzarella and grilled vegetables
- Chocolate cake
- Menu 2 – Vegetarian option
- Mix of green salads
- Zucchini stuffed with vegetables
- Risotto with Porcini mushrooms and Parmesan
- Chocolate cake
Mineral water, a soft drink, a glass of wine and 50ml rakia are included. Again, we assume the meat option for everyone unless vegetarian diet preferences specified during registration, contact the organizers to alter your selection.
Organized dinner Friday – Vodenitzata (The Watermill)
On Friday we are taking you to one of the best Bulgarian traditional restaurants, located at the foot of Vitosha mountain. Buses to the restaurant are arranged, leaving 7:00-7:30 PM from Sofia Hotel Balkan to the restaurant. Return around 11:00 PM. Getting there by public transport is tricky, so if by any chance you are late for the arranged buses, we recommend getting a taxi to the restaurant (will cost 6-7 EUR). The two menu options are-
- Menu 1 – Meat option
- Harvester’s salad /tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onion, walnuts, garlic, egg, olives/
- Breaded pepper stuffed with cheese pastry
- Compounded barbecue with steamed vegetables and ljutenica
- Buffalo-cow yoghurt with bee honey and walnuts
- Menu 2 – Vegetarian option
- Green salad with egg
- Breaded pepper stuffed with cheese pastry
- Vegetable Hotchpotch
- Buffalo-cow yoghurt with bee honey and walnuts
